RESUMEN
Se presenta un caso de probable reinfección por COVID-19 en población trabajadora de la salud. Paciente femenina de 50 años (de Pereira, Colombia) con antecedentes de dislipidemia, apendicectomía e histerectomía, alérgica a la penicilina. Detectada como positiva para infección por COVID-19 el 25/04/2020 con negativización de la PCR el 6/05/2020 y posterior curso asintomática durante 233 días, captada por síntomas generales dados por: astenia, mialgias y cefalea el día 23/12/2020; nuevo reporte positivo del 26/12/2020 con persistencia de disnea sin otros hallazgos relevantes al examen físico, cursando con adecuada evolución a la fecha. Se considera como probable reinfección por COVID-19 de acuerdo a los lineamientos propuestos por la OMS, caso confirmado por criterio epidemiológico de prueba RT-PCR negativa durante el primer episodio de infección; puede tratarse de la acción de una nueva cepa para COVID-19..(Au)
A case of probable reinfection by COVID-19 in a health worker population in Pereira- Colombia is presented. 50-year-old female patient with a history of dyslipidemia, appendectomy and hysterectomy, allergic to penicillin, who was detected as positive for COVID-19 infection on 04/25/2020 with negative PCR on 05/06/2020 and subsequent asymptomatic course for 233 days, captured by general symptoms given by: asthenia, myalgias and headache on 12/23/2020 with a new positive report on 12/26/2020 with persistence of dyspnea without other findings relevant to the physical examination, to date with adequate evolution. Discussion: it is considered a probable case of reinfection by COVID-19 according to the guidelines proposed by the WHO, a case that is confirmed by epidemiological criteria of negative RT-PCR test during the first infection episode, it could be the action of a new strain for COVID-19..(Au)
